Feels over 20 degrees to me!

This is one of the coldest winters on record for NYC, I've recently decided.  But unlike in other years, I've hardly felt the pain of this cold, cold winter.  Is it my newly sheepskin lined Sorel Caribou winter boots?  My elbow length Lands End Fairisle gloves?  My fantastic, cost me waaaaay too much money, worth every penny down coat?

No!  Well, technically probably yes.  But THIS post isn't about what goes over your clothes, but what goes under!

That's a long intro for this: Merino Wool leggings are my new winter must wear!  They have absolutely revolutionized my winter.  Unlikely regular wool, which makes me itch, merino wool is extremely soft and comfortable.  It's probably warmer than the tights you wear now, but not too warm as to make you pass out on the train or in your car.  They last a long time I hope, and if you get the right pair, won't look too bulky under your jeans!

These are the pair I'd like, from Ibex:

Unfortunately, they're pricey.  You can, however, get a fully functional pair on ebay, or if you're lucky like I was, on Beyond the Rack!  Email us for BYR invites and we'll let you know if the leggings show up again (after we snatch up a couple more pairs of our own!)
